The School Education Committee’s role is to provide advice to the Head of School on issues in relation to teaching and learning.

The committee deals with the introduction of new courses and units, course and unit reviews/changes , assessment practices, analysis of results and student outcomes, and review of student surveys on teaching.

The Education Committee has a number of working groups that are established to deal with items as required and report back to the Education Committee. The Chair of the Education Committee is also the School’s representative on the Faculty’s Education Committee.

The membership of the committee is made up of:

  • Deputy Head of School (as Chair)
  • Area coordinators
  • Chair of the Student Staff Consultative Committee
  • A number of other academic staff members nominated to represent all teaching areas of the School
